Talent Leadership Rooted in Real-World Experience
Vandana Bhagtani
I am an enterprise HR/talent executive with more than 15 years of experience leading talent, organizational effectiveness, and large-scale workforce transformations across global technology organizations. I partner with CHROs, Chief Talent Officers, and business executives, and serve as an advisor and coach to senior leaders, particularly within engineering and technical organizations. My career spans open source, cybersecurity, payments, software and cloud, and networking, across Fortune 500 and other leading technology companies, including Red Hat, Visa, Polycom, and HPE.
Before founding Astraea Talent, I held senior talent leadership roles where I built and scaled high-performing teams and led transformational talent initiatives directly aligned with business priorities. The work spanned executive succession planning, talent assessment and calibration, job architecture and promotion governance, skills frameworks and internal mobility, career development, performance management, high-potential development, coaching, and leadership development. I’ve sat in the seat, navigated matrixed structures and global scope, and delivered results under real business pressure.
Astraea Talent was founded on a simple belief: the best advisory work comes from practitioners who have lived the challenges they help solve. Most advisors work at a distance from the day-to-day realities of running an organization. Experience from day one means faster insight, more relevant recommendations, and a partnership that respects your time.
The Name Behind the Work
In Greek mythology, Astraea, the “star-maiden,” was the goddess of justice. She lived among mortals during the Golden Age as a voice of reason and fairness. As the world grew harsher, she became the last of the immortals to leave Earth, taking her place in the sky as the constellation Virgo. The name reflects the kind of partner I want to be: fair, clear-sighted, and balanced.
